SIE Jing and Wu Yang, the consultant director, shared the theme of "Elite/XCMG S/4 HANA PCE Upgrade Case Sharing", which was launched against the background of the elite mold making project, and described the review of the project selection process, the key difficulties and risk points of the project upgrade practice, vividly and intuitively displayed the project situation and coping ideas to the customers attending the meeting. The elite modeling project involves 17 sets of peripheral systems, over 1000 self-developed projects, and more than 300 interfaces. At the same time, the upgrade process involves the cooperation of enterprise customers, suppliers, and dozens of external system manufacturers' teams. The complexity of the project is self-evident.
One of the risk points in the migration and upgrade process of the project is selective data upgrade. The source system has stored 13 years of business data, with a data volume of 300TB. After sufficient communication and discussion, the migration rules for outstanding data were clarified. In the S/4 target system, the data was ultimately retained for 5 years for migration, reducing data access by approximately 10 times. The customer's investment in cloud products was reduced by about 50%, greatly improving operational efficiency. We believe that the successful upgrade case of elite modeling provides a good reference and demonstration for subsequent enterprises to upgrade S/4 HANA PCE.
