Recently, the "IDC China CIO Summit - Industrial AI Leading Intelligent Manufacturing Upgrading" event hosted by IDC China was held in Shenzhen, and important awards were announced at the event: Foshan Guoxing Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guoxing Optoelectronics"), in cooperation with Shenzhen Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei Cloud") and Guangzhou SIE Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SIE"), jointly created the "Industrial Software of Guoxing Optoelectronics relying on cloud native architecture and technology platform base" project, and won the award of "2025 IDC China's Future Digital Industry Leader - Cloud Native Software Innovation Pioneer"!


The Future Digital Industry Leaders Award was established in 2021, mainly targeting industrial enterprises, manufacturing, energy, public utilities and other industries. The award judging panel comes from senior analysts, industry experts, industry leaders and investors from IDC Global and China, aiming to select and recognize outstanding projects that have achieved significant results in digitalization and intelligence and led the industry direction. The award of this joint project of Guoxing Optoelectronics, Huawei Cloud and SIE not only demonstrates the technological innovation strength of many parties in the field of industrial software, but also marks the authoritative recognition of the project's cloud native solution in promoting the upgrading of digital industry.

Before the implementation of the project, Guoxing Optoelectronics mainly faced the following challenges:


In terms of production management, the production work order management system lags behind, with low process efficiency and a lack of a unified platform to support diversified work order generation methods and refined management. This is mainly reflected in the obstruction of data exchange between the current system and the existing ERP system, making it difficult to achieve seamless connection and efficient collaboration throughout the entire production process; The management of edge warehouses is extensive, and the intelligent integration of material inbound and outbound, temporary storage, and management of different material characteristics has not been achieved. The difficulty of inventory control is high, which restricts the overall production efficiency improvement.


In terms of quality management, Guoxing Optoelectronics has not yet formed a complete quality management system and lacks effective quality traceability and early warning mechanisms. There is room for optimization in the formulation of quality standards, process inspection, and closed-loop management of quality issues. Currently, it is difficult to quickly identify the root cause of quality problems and effectively solve them, which poses certain constraints on product quality assurance and production efficiency improvement.


In terms of equipment management, the full lifecycle management function of equipment is insufficient, and information such as ledger management, inspection and maintenance, repair records, and spare parts inventory has not been effectively integrated. The ability to collect and monitor equipment operation data is limited, resulting in a lag in real-time perception of equipment operation status, which affects the stable operation and continuous production of equipment.


In terms of group management, cross regional and multi factory collaborative management faces systematic challenges, and a group level public data management platform has not yet been established. The data systems of each factory operate in isolation, and there are significant shortcomings in data asset integration and value mining capabilities. The existing data architecture is difficult to support the multidimensional data analysis needs required for strategic decision-making, which limits the overall control and collaborative development of each factory by the group.


The industrial software project relying on the cloud native architecture and technology platform base will be launched on July 15, 2024. SIE and Huawei Cloud will jointly build the iDME&MBM Space platform and the iMOM industry suite based on the high-quality foundation of Guoxing Optoelectronics itself. The project will be piloted by four component business divisions of Guoxing Optoelectronics, and will be promoted and applied in the group according to the project results.


Facing the pain points of production management, the platform has built a work order driven full process refined control system to achieve intelligent management of the entire production cycle of electronic material preparation, including material preparation, loading, and receiving. At the same time, it supports the collection of basic job information and station control during the production process, improving the synergy and accuracy of production.


In terms of quality management, the platform has built a comprehensive quality traceability and early warning system through tools such as SPC, achieving quality standard formulation, process inspection, capability analysis, early warning, and two-way traceability, improving the scientificity and timeliness of quality management.


In terms of equipment management, a digital foundation covering core scenarios such as equipment asset management, preventive maintenance, millisecond level collection of process parameters, and dynamic formula distribution is established through the integration of SCADA system and production line equipment data. The integration of equipment lifecycle management and operation maintenance, real-time collection and monitoring of equipment parameters, and deep integration with the production process provide effective guarantees for the stable operation of equipment and the improvement of production efficiency.


In terms of group management, the platform adopts a data-driven approach to construct a manufacturing master data model to improve the flexibility and scalability of data management. Through deep integration with existing ERP, WMS and other systems, combined with cloud computing, big data and other technologies, the barriers to data sharing and collaboration among various business systems within the enterprise are broken down, achieving real-time collection and analysis of data from multiple factories in the group, and building a data-driven new paradigm for group management and control.


This project deeply integrates the practical wisdom and digital technology capabilities of Guoxing Optoelectronics, Huawei Cloud and SIE, and builds an intelligent manufacturing solution with industry benchmark value. The platform focuses on typical manufacturing scenarios in industries such as electronic packaging and assembly, and extracts standardized solutions covering production execution, quality traceability, equipment management, and other modules, greatly shortening the customized development cycle of enterprises and significantly reducing the threshold for digital investment. It has important reference significance for manufacturing enterprises with group management needs.



About iMOM

SIE model-based manufacturing | iMOM is a new generation product solution for MOM industry created by SIE and Huawei. This solution is based on the Huawei Cloud Industrial Digital Model Driver Engine iDME and the Digital Manufacturing Cloud Platform MBM Space platform.
